Looking for a game like UNO to play with friends?
Zuna is a free online card game for 2–8 players who enjoy matching cards, skipping turns, and racing to empty their hand. If you came looking for UNO online with friends, try a private Zuna room: everyone joins from their own phone or computer with no account or download. Match by element or value, use action cards, and call Zuna when you reach one card. Zuna has its own deck and rules; it is an independent alternative, not the official UNO game.

How to play Zuna
- Create a room, enter your display name, and share the room code with 1–7 friends. The host starts when the group is ready.
- On your turn, match the discard by element or value, or play an available wild action. If you cannot play, use the draw action.
- Watch the direction of play and the action cards. Jump skips a player, Turn reverses direction, and Burden makes the next player draw.
- Use the Call Zuna button when you reach one card. Empty your hand first to win, then keep the room for a rematch.
A turn in practice
If the discard is a Fire 7, another Fire card or another 7 matches it. A wild action can change the active element, so check the table before choosing your next card.
How many people can play Zuna online?
A Zuna room supports 2–8 players. A typical game lasts about 10–25 minutes, depending on the group size and action cards played.
How is Zuna different from UNO?
UNO matches cards by color or number. Zuna uses four elements—Fire, Water, Earth, and Wind—and matches by element or value. Jump skips a turn, Turn reverses play, Burden makes the next player draw two, and Tempest makes them draw three. Use Zuna's on-screen actions and rules rather than assuming every UNO house rule applies.
Is Zuna the official UNO game?
No. Zuna is an independent game on GenxtPlay and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Mattel. It is an alternative for friends who enjoy this style of card game.
Can two people play this card game?
Yes. Zuna supports 2–8 players, so it works for a pair or a larger group. Each player joins from their own browser.
Do I need physical cards or an account?
No. The deck, hands, turn order, and scoring are managed online. Choose a display name and use the same room code as your friends.
Can I play Zuna by myself or with new people?
Yes. Choose Play online to find a four-player table. We look for other players first, then labelled computer opponents fill empty seats. Private rooms are still available for friends.
